A New Leaf...
RIb Mountain Greenhouse has been in the Rib Mountain area since 1971 when Richard Nitzsche built the original facility. Richard and his wife, Pat, operated the greenhouse for 25 years until their retirement in 1997. Over the years, both the Christmas season and Spring seasons have shared the greenhouse floor space. The Spiegel Family has owned and managed it since 1997.
In the fall of 2012, the opportunity to move the greenhouse to a beautiful new location on South Mountain Road became a reality. Kent Spiegel and his son, Adam Spiegel, moved the building. In its reconstruction, new technology was incorporated including in-floor heating and polycarbonate roofing. Now, with over a decade in this location, Rib Mountain Greenhouse has reestablished it's footings here. The peaceful setting at the foot of the south side of Rib Mountain is a beautiful place to grow!
