A New Leaf...
RIb Mountain Greenhouse has been in the Rib Mountain area since 1971 when Richard Nitzsche built the original facility. Richard and his wife, Pat, operated the greenhouse for 25 years until their retirement in 1971. Over the years, both the Christmas season and Spring seasons have shared the greenhouse floor space. The Spiegel Family owned and managed it since 1997.
In the fall of 2012, the opportunity to move the greenhouse to a beautiful new location on South Mountain Road became a reality. Kent Spiegel and his son, Adam Spiegel, moved the building and in its reconstruction, new technology was incorporated including in-floor heating and polycarbonate roofing. With a few years in the new location under their belt and freshly reconstructed hooped houses from the original building sturdy and ready to go for this year, the greenhouse is back to capacity!
Kent and his family would like to thank all our valued patrons for their continued support. We are looking forward to seeing you this spring!
